I should have used a microphone. After learning the ins and outs of the Akai MPC 4000 and the Z4 I realized that I had not ventured into the world of Ak.sys….

hi bro! What version of xp you use? I can not run with sp2 or sp3. I
installed and usb driver s56 and Aksys 2.53 and the pc recognizes me my
s5000, but not Aksys.
thanks
how does this work on a Mac?
can you drag files off the sampler and onto the windows drive? If so, how
many gigs at a time? I have an s5000 with incredible content that i would
love to import and use with Kontact, as there are no loading obstacles
relative to ram =)
Not sure the exact limit but you can drag and drop many files thru ak.sys.
If you have a corrupted file in the group it will shut down though. I have
dragged and dropped at least a gig. Takes a little time because it is going
through USB.
please tell me more about the touch screen. What would be the best one to
get? I already have the good laptop, is it a screen alone that I simply
wire to the laptop? Tell me about the tricks. I have been reading up on a
thread on Gearslutz .
got a cold, got a fever.. but after checking out mpc vids, i now need to
turn it on and make some music 😀 ..Aksys is great though i never got much
use of it after i installed windows 7 (as in can no longer use it), now i
just have my sample library on an external HDD and load them up from there,
quick enough but obviously none of the nice Aksys features
where did you find the aksys software. i cant seem to find the dwnld link..
thanx.
THIS IS GREAT…
ak.sys is very powerful. some great tricks in there. I used to have a
touch-screen hooked to my computer, and i could turn the knobs on screen
with my hand.
.akaipro.com mpc4000 link just sign up with the akai site. Make sure you
choose the correct version (Mac or PC) Works great with windows XP not so
great with newer OS’. MPC 4000 with aksys sometimes crashes if you try to
load too many samples at once.
I bought the laptop for $50. Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, T7700 @ 2.40GHz, 2.39
Ghz, 2.00 GB of Ram…Dell. It was well worth it. I use the laptop with my
roland sonic cell, and my yamaha an200. Both units have editors similar to
what ak.sys does.
