How do i assign notes/tones to each pad on my akai mpd32 using ableton live?
Of course
its a midi pad so until you program it in a music type program (fl
studio, cubase, reason etc.) it wont make noise
besides banks and extra knobs is there another difference between the mpd26
and 32?
@ScottishBrand1 midi map over ableton, not the controller
@eduardoRYT first you need a program like fl or something, what program are
you using
how do i make akai to make sounds?!!? 🙁
you sound like e-40
E 40 you understand me
im getting the mpd 32
You sound like Obama ^_^
please reply to this. I have the same problem.
Sounds like Busta Rhymes
sup bro whts good settings for the swing and gate on the 32??
PROBLY THE BEST TUTORIAL OUT !
the note repeat on the mpc works with just holding down that button right?
here it seems you have to engage and disengage it, that isn’t as smooth i
believe..
i know alot of producers just use the mpd32 alone with their p.c or laptop
But in the diagram on your video, it shows a mpc, is a mpc recommended to
use with the mpd32 ?
he doesn’t sound like Obama at all. ಠ_ಠ
The note repeat part was very helpful!
Correction: The only tutorial out 😀
when you hook it up can you use logic pro 9 as the softwere?
Yo, I love you so much for sharing this sampling method! Thank you!! Haha
Good video, I just moved from the 2000xl to renaissance bad wasn’t sure how
to find the tempo.., thank you!
this is one of my favs …thanks…its was a big help…….
magic tuto thanx !
You went from 98 to 97 BPM…
Guys, I do exactly the same process as shown in the video. However, I
understand that the sample do not follow the tempo but is the same. For
example, My sample is originally in 80, I convert it to PP and set tempo to
70. When I do that I hear the gap in each slice, like silence. And when I
set tempo to 100 for example I understand that there is not enough time to
hear the whole sample, but the next threshold slice covers the previous.
Any ideas? Is there any step that I forget. Yet, I put the correct number
of bars.
Can you show the patch phase on a one shot .
Wow, this is dope. Really helpful – thanks!
great!
yep yup this is on point …
Can someone tell me why when I create a sample using the patch phrase
feature, why the tempo doesn’t match the metronome?
When I create the pp and pull it to pad there’s no sound any help?
Thanks Excellent tutorial!! Respeto!!
@SFS, hey bro I currently use reason 6 but was gonna jump on a mpc 2500 or
maschine. What would you pick? Thanks
Thanks for making my job easier Bruh!
Hi buddy, When I hit PP it creates a new sample when I drag it to pad the
new sample is sliced and not 1 fluid sound any ideas, Thanks man.
can someone explain the difference between patch phrase and time stretch to
me
Hey so say you select phrase and you do it but the sample don’t have pp at
the end of it. Does this mean you didn’t count the bars correctly in patch
phrase?
thx for da video
What’s the best way to find out the tempo of the sample if you don’t know
it. I wish the ren told you the sample.

Good tip.! peace
@ICUR…. the diff is subtle but easy to understand. the vid shows patch
phrase, which as he shows changes the tempo w/o changing the pitch. he
already has the bars set. with time stretch you have say a 1 bar loop you
want to make 2 bars. doin that changes the tempo AND pitch, since for it to
play 2 bars it’s @ a slower tempo. understand this, MATH IS MUSIC, and
MUSIC IS MATH! so get some books from Amazon and do you homework, once you
see the correlation, it gets easier trust me lol
