I came up on the mpc 2000 so I feel right at home on the renaissance. I got
maschine as well which is good but I’m faster on the mpc. Just the way you
can throw sequences together in song mode, chop, track mute, change tempo
within a song & let’s not forget that legendary swing lol
I have both and I like Machine Studio better because
1. any pad can be a potentual instrument i don’t have to go to the sample
edit screen to set it up a head of time
2. It’s ahead of the game as far as features although both have some
features that the other don’t have i feel Maschine is ahead
3. Maschine is just more inspiring Like Come On a MPC screen is like
looking at MS-DOS lol
4. Integration with other NI products is flawless
5. Faster workflow being that i can do everything on the home screen except
chop sample make it faster to make a beat MPC has too many screens and
folders and duel purpose buttons
Now Mind You I Started On The MPC4000 which was my baby but Maschine won me
over
I like them both I do it find it easier to arrange a track in maschine than
in the mpc but its hard to choose one over the other they both are great
pieces of hardware and compliments any studio and wrk flow ni is more
frequent with upfates and software where akai lags akai has stepped up with
1.7 AND HOOKING UP WITH AIR MUSIC to provide a komplete ultimate style
package for the mpc by amt other than that if u got it get both if u have
to choose ine go with what best suits you’re needs peace lyrical lab..
peace
